I have to admit I've been a bit down lately. Fall is a time of new beginnings (new season, new schools, new jobs etc.), and it's hard to focus on that when so many people have lost everything. As I have chosen not to overwhelm you with any of my political views, I will say the situation is extremely upsetting to me.
For these reasons going on and on about how people should "shrug-off shrugs" and "boycott Uggs" understandably doesn't move me like it did when I had originally had these fashion epiphanies (although I encourage readers to do both). As I regroup, I turn your attention to Fashion.net your guide to everything chic on the web. With links to great designers, blogs, shopping destinations, and classified ads, Fashion.net is a great resources for designers and fashionistas alike.
In terms of fashion, the other day I came across PositiviTee... a cute little site that sells cause-inspired T-shirts. From fighting AIDs in Africa to fighting global warming, this mother and daughters team bring fashion and awareness together in some adorable tee shirts.
I have a loooong list of absolutely amazing designers and sites to show you, and I owe it to you and to them to be more focused before I begin the fall segment of Urban Socialite. I hope you understand... stay tuned...
