I know, I know, I've been bad. I've totally neglected New York Fashion Week. Tragically, I'm not that excited about it this year, and besides that, every other fashion site, blog and magazine out there is covering the event. Since I've ignored all the hype and will continue to, I thought I could at least lead you in the right direction for proper coverage.
Runway: New York Magazine has by far the best runway to runway coverage of the event. You can literally spend hours clicking through the extensive (and up to the minute) photos.
Insider: Nothing beats Fashion Week Daily's coverage of the event, in my opinion. With just a click and a PDF reader you can download a copy of that-days Fashion Week Daily, complete with insider gossip, great pictures, and of course, fabulous fashion.
Critic: Check out Off the Runway with Robin Givhan of the Washington Post. Dishing on everything from fashion to Kimora Lee Simmons ego, Robin is a journalist after my own heart!
A Friends Perspective: Lastly, Fashion Schmashion offers some great photos as well as Kim Hastreiter's observations of the day. Not quite up to speed with Robin, but more insightful than NY Mag, this blog is equivalent to getting updates from a friend in the front row.
Lastly, if you're interested in working in Fashion, in check out the Fashion Career Expo THIS WEEKEND February 10, 2006 in New York City (some experience necessary, check the site for more details).
