Sometimes, even the best laid plans fail miserably. For instance, a perfect blow-out, a precision French manicure and plans for a cozy night in can be ruined by an unassuming rotary, mixed with an oily road, non-anti-lock brakes and a particularly bitter spring rain. A night that started out perfectly can end up chilly, damp, and frizzy. Ironically... and amazingly... sometimes that thing you were planning for can still be achieved despite a disaster. I realized this weekend that it all depends on your vantage point. If you can look through the streaming rain, illuminated by the lights of a just parked police cruiser ... and know that your passenger is ok and that you're ok... and that despite everything he just so happens to manage an "it's going to be okay smile" with these amazingly kind eyes... and that smile warms you despite the cold... it becomes a moot point that your car may never start again. And you realized that thing you were painstakingly planning for that night... already happened, a while back while watching Gladiator... or maybe it was while listening to "Dile"... or maybe even further back still on the orange line... Anyway I digress...
I mentioned "vantage point" not for the specific reason of introducing you to VintageVantage... but it does seem somewhat fitting. The site pays homage to a Fresher time with a great collection of vintage t-shirts. Check out the "top shelf" collection for some of their finest vintage wear (and be rest assured a hundred other Urban Outfit shopping hipsters won't be wearing the same thing) and visit their "originals" for some cheeky, and often very un-PC t's.
Due to my aforementioned mishap this weekend I may be away for a bit trying to straighten things out. Enjoy the t's, keep the cool sites coming and make sure you're viewing things from the proper vantage point in the interim.
