Style: Down Under

One of the hardest things to do is to find a place where all of your interests and passions come together. I, for one, am somewhat forced to compartmentalize... art is saved for rainy days... my love of fashion is appeased here... my love of the law (yes I have a love of the law... you know I have a dorky side so this shouldn't be a surprise) is dealt with at work... my constant adoration for a certain someone culminates on the weekend or at short intervals in between. Every now and then I have a moment of clarity where it all comes together... most of the time it happens in conversation but sometimes it happens in practice. When it does... its like . . . BAM! Everything makes sense. I'm thinking the designers at Bickerstaff must have had one of those moments. This creative and subtly politically label from Australia was spawned by a meeting of minds; musicians, fashionista's and an astronaut (yup, you read correctly), each bringing their own unique qualities to the line. Bickerstaff draws inspiration from the fusion of music, color, fashion and graffiti art-- resulting in stylishly thought provoking tee shirts. Plus a lot went into the technical design of the shirts as well, including the use of shrink patterns to ensure the they will maintain the desired length (they're a bit longer for that oh-so-desired layering-look), and a silicon wash is applied to give the shirt a softer, heavier feel... talk about your tee shirt technology!
Furthermore, if you find yourself in Australia anytime soon you can drop by Bickerstaff's legendary Futon Groove party... time and place TBA...
