I realize almost all of these posts are about shopping... which is cool because I love to shop but I'm wondering if they're getting old... My feeling is, as long as I'm highlighting real designers (i.e. people who directly benefit from our purchases) it's cool. Take girlshop, for example... not only does this site feature many new up-and-coming Designers from places like Gen Art* , it features original designs that are actually wearable. Plus there are no signs of Von Dutch, Ugg Boots or those horrible flippy skirts everyone was wearing last summer (and in some unfortunate cases, this winter with nylons...)

, but the way, is really worth checking out. The founder basically started this company out of his NYU Law School kitchen, and it currently features some of the best in fashion, art, film and music.
