Back in the day, (I'm talking elementary school here) this weird kid "Joe" used to tell us you could get high from sniffing Pixie Sticks. He would bring them in and dare people to sniff them at recess... I don't recall if anyone ever took him up on the dare, and needless to say eating 2 or 3 of the paper wrapped packs of pure sugar did the trick and made us crazy enough as it was...
Times have changed... but as I'm starting to realize more and more:
the more things change, the more they stay the same. The last I heard "Joe" was serving time for pushing another kind of sniffable high (sorry for the depressing end to that story) and I am still giddy for a certain kind of Pixie .
