Reggaeton Superchica

What happens when America gets bored with Hip Hop? When even the die hards sigh and shrug that there hasn't been anything good put out since Tupac, and reminisce over... well...they reminisce over you... Introducing Reggaeton... though in many places it needs no introduction. In fact Reggaeton which originated in Panama and has been described as a Spanish-language fusion of reggae, hip-hop, salsa, cumbia, merengue and other Caribbean beats has been around Puerto Rico for years. But over the past few years NYC and LA clubs have begun to embrace this infectious music, giving even the toughest cynics and reason to dance (or at least to tap their feet). I'm sure you, oh wise Urban Socialite, have been rocking these beats for years.... but just in case you haven't check out Don Omar on the Chosen Few: El Documental (if you you have iTunes check out the single Reggaeton Latino which is huge right now), also check out Daddy Yankee Barrio Fino (of gasolina fame), and Yerba Buena Island Life (which is more Island than Reggaeton, but it's hot).
Of course, we all know that music influences fashion and vise versa... so it only makes sense that fashion should follow... so stay tuned....
Speaking of fashion, I urge you check out Superchica! With fabulously affordable necklaces, stylish wrist cuffs, and cool t-shirts, this site is most certainly super. Besides, we all need to support artists like Superchica's Judy Stump. Sick of working for "the man" she started this company and states:
I do what I love and I hope I'll never compromise.

Words to live by and and indeed a concept worth supporting....
