Refinding what's lost....

Whenever the seasons change I find myself in a place of re-evaluation. Especially around spring when everything is new. I start to think about other things I could be doing... other paths and forgotten projects. Spring awakens possibility. Sometimes I get caught up and go on fruitless searches this time of year. Looking for lost passion in an unfinished novel, distant friendship, or forgotten hobby. Other times though, the search leads to me kind of "refind" important things that I had lost under piles of study guides, tax returns, and copies of W Magazine (like Damien's address! Just in time for St. Patrick's Day)! It has even at times, like this spring, helped me refind a part of myself ... lost somewhere between Brown, New York and Boston. As you go through your process of spring renewal and refinding this year, you may want to check out Refinding.com (great transition, right!?). Refinding does for old tires, used watches and old faucet taps what this season does for the soul: rejuvenates, inspires, and reinvents!
The inspiration behind the site, run by Sean and Linda, is summed up by Sean himself:
On a trip to Australia I found my first surf wallet and a question: 'how come most men's wallets suck?' On the flight home, I came up with the idea of making wallets out of tire tread. Then, I realized it was too damn thick to fit in my back pocket and made a purse instead. And the rest, as they say, was fashion faux pas, I mean, fashion history.
As you start to move through spring (I'm clearly ignoring the fact its supposed to snow this Friday), I hope you're able to shake off the bitter winter cold and refind whatever it is you lost between seasons... Sean and Linda's website just might be the perfect place to start!
