Tied-Up and Naughty!

I notice ties. Maybe in the way that some men notice a woman's shoes or whether she has a manicure. Its unfair to judge a man by his tie, especially since I rarely get manicures and would wear puma flats with every outfit if I could.... Nevertheless I do notice them. Its like a little glimpse into who they really are... Especially in offices where a boring suit is the basic attire. The tie is like... the last stop for a bit of self expression. The "crazy tie" guy who has ties with random comic characters or Hawaiian prints... the "boring tie guy" who has like 3 boring ties that probably came with the shirt he's wearing... and the classic tie guy who is very acceptable with his little polo horses and what-not... but like his tie, could use some spice in his life. That's where Sovereign Beck comes in... Leave it to a couple of RISD students to turn this tiny avenue of self-expression into something spectacular! Drawing upon both the traditional and the classically abstract ideals of tie design, the Sovereign Beck line of neckwear is both understated and provocative, classic and cutting edge. Every design has been carefully realized by the artists to be not only timeless, but also a statement of individuality. Created in limited quantity and with only the highest quality in mind, each tie is a statement.
Women can, of course, enjoy their ties as well... In fact, the women who brought you the Naughty Secretary Club and other great Austin Craft Mafia sites have a great new show on the DIY network called "Stylelicious." This half-hour series is a tasty concoction of fashion, accessories and ideas as a group of fashionistas show viewers three unique takes on the same project. Check out April 13th and April 16th when the girls get "all tied up" in an effort to show you how to make a halter top out of a necktie!
Now all you have to do is decide which Sovereign style you're going to work with!
