I had the wonderful opportunity to go to New York this weekend. The trip... though rushed (to say the least?), reminded me how much I miss the City... and how truly invigorating it is to walk around at night. There's nothing like Times Square at 3am... the sights... the sounds... the... smells (actually most of the smells are pretty questionable around 3am... but I digress)...
In honor of my little weekend adventure I thought I'd write about Refinery29. You know independent shops and designers are my absolute favorite and nobody does it better in NYC than this site.
Built around an intuitive map of shops, searchable by the stores' specific products and focus, Refinery29 is devoted to seeking out stores with a commitment to exceptionality, a boundless passion for their trade, and a dedication to the individuality of their customer. With an extensive list of both men's and women's stores and great features like their editorial section (this week they feature super duo Roy Caires and Tommy Cole of This Old Thing) Refinery29 is a NYC and independent fashion must.
